Alex's sitting group sessions are brilliant. He has nurtured a lovely community spirit which feels very supportive and kind. By doing this, people feel comfortable to share after practice and learn from and with each other.
Alex guides meditations so beautifully and creatively. His careful and considered choice of poetry always compliments the sessions perfectly. I always feel the benefit for attending and really value being apart of the mindful compass community. Thanks Alex ?

Have been participating in a morning online 30 mins mindfulness meditation for about a year now with Alex and definitely noticing the difference. It allows me to step back for a little while from the constant "doing" and grounds me before the busyness of life gets going. On the days I participate I definitely feel more balanced and able to cope with whatever the day brings. The sessions are actually quite varied and I particularly like the readings/poems Alex sometimes recites to round off the session. Online suits me as I get benefit of being part of a group without having to travel anywhere.

My organisation asked Alex to deliver an online wellbeing session, in a breakout room, as part of an internal quarterly staff briefing. Alex understood our brief well, designing a 20 minute introductory session on the benefits of mindfulness, which included a taster exercise of ‘mindful eating’. The sessions ran well, and Alex created a relaxed yet informative atmosphere, allowing people to participate at their own pace and find their own takeaways from the session. Alex offers regular 30 minute mindfulness sessions - an oasis of calm from the comfort of your own home. The sessions are relaxed and informal, there is never any pressure to ‘get it right’; just to take whatever benefit you can. Alex has a soothing voice and I always feel more resilient and refreshed after a session.

I have also taken part in Alex’s essential wellbeing mini course. This was a great reminder of simple, practical tips and techniques we can all take to improve our daily wellbeing, as well as imparting a dose of interesting neuroscience science.

I would highly recommend The Mindful Compass.

I would like to thank Alex for his kindness in giving up his time each morning to guide myself and other group members through Mindful meditation since the start of the pandemic to present. Alex is a wonderful Mindfulness Coach, who has supported me through his Mindfulness sessions to build my resilience and strength to face difficulties in a calm and peaceful manner.

I have been a regular at Alex's drop-ins for over two years. I am in the 8am group where, in addition to the beautiful mindfulness and compassion practices we have slowly developed an understanding of each others' ups and downs. The practices are always fresh and skilfully mix guidance with silence and other inputs such as poetry. I always come away with a more balanced mood and a more comfortable acceptance of whatever is to come in the day.
