Needing to be close to be the beach and enjoy it, this was a great hotel. Friendly staff. Little bar service. Breakfast was great great. So many great places close by and only mile from the beach. Very scenic and clean place to stay at. I had never been to imperial Beach before. Will definitely be back.

Hello - I stayed in this property for 2 days (around Aug 24) and must say the hotel staffs are excellent and very courteous. Overall the room was great but I faced a challenge that the wash basin was clogging and it caused a delay of 1 hr. for us to get ready and head towards.

Location was great. Food in the kitchen was great and economical too!

Breakfast can be improved a bit - Not at a standard of Hampton Inn.

Overall, it was a pleasure staying in this property.

This hotel was definitely a no frills hotel. It felt safe but it is not really near the heart of San Diego. The AC was really loud and wouldn't set to the desired temperature of 71 degrees. The TV guide wasn't showing the correct name of the program which was odd. The comforter was a little scratchy and the hotel does not claim to have a safe in the room but I can confirm it does not have one. Probably makes more sense to stay closer to the tourist areas for the price you pay anyway.

Great location in Imperial Beach. Clean, friendly, great breakfast! 2 minutes to the beach driving/ 8 min walking. 3 min off the freeway. Lots of great places to eat near the the hotel. Take a walk on the pier and browse the shops.

Great overall service.

They have laundry machines available for guests!

The dumbbells in the gym surprisingly went up to 75lbs which is unheard of for most hotels!

Nice newer 2 star hotel with an okay breakfast. It appeared there was extensive water damage they were addressing. The cost of the room was high considering the state of common areas.

Uncomfortable bed and pillows. Everything else was fine. Great service, clean room, but the bed was super firm and the pillows were flat for my taste. Had a rough sleep. Was quiet and privateb just not a fan of the bed at all. Free coffee and breakfast was ok.

Our stay at the Hampton Inn & Suites Imperial Beach San Diego was okay. After our last Hilton experience at the Hampton Inn in Camarillo, my family and I were not thrilled with our experience in Imperial Beach. Overall the staff at the Hampton Inn Imperial Beach were nice. They helped you if you asked for help. They smiled if you smiled. We obtained a late checkout by asking the front desk the day we were meant to leave. A extra hour helped with our schedule that day. The room and hotel were clean. The free breakfast tasted great and there was plenty of parking onsite.

My husband and I just absolutely hated the eco-friendly air conditioning setup. The thermostat would only go down to 67; in reality meaning our room only cooled to 68 degrees while it ran. Not to mention the AC unit was extremely loud; making it difficult to sleep. It was 1 of the worst nights sleep I've had in a long time. When I say eco-friendly, I mean it turned off when you left, so we you returned you had to wait for it to cool down all over again.

Also the tv guide would state one program was on, but you'd click onto that channel and it was another. It was incorrect information, if it actually even took you to the correct channel in the first place. The only saving-grace was that we could log into our Netflix and Youtube subscriptions, but honestly, for the price of the room, I hate that all these entertainment services aren't just available for free to us during our stay. The dollar doesn't buy what it used to these days.

Lastly, I loved that the hotel was pet friendly, but with only two small pieces of fake turf around the property; I wouldn't use the word "friendly"...more like tolerant. We chose Hampton Inn & Suites Imperial Beach San Diego for its close proximity to the Port, while my husband was working. Next time, we will definitely find another hotel to try.
