The place wasn't very full when we came in but the atmosphere was very warm and inviting. Our server was friendly and checked on us frequently to make sure we had everything we could need. When the food came the portions were much larger than I had pictured with the prices being so low. I didn't expect to be able to finish my bowl but found I had almost emptied it before I even noticed it. Bathrooms were neat and we'll stocked too. 10/10 would go again.

First time trying Lemongrass. The wonton noodle soup was quite delicious as well as the claypot salmon with rice.

On the way back from our TX trip, we stopped at New Lemongrass Taste of Vietnam. It's within the Old Town Square complex on the corner of 2nd St and Mead St but the front door is down a side alley not really visible from the square. We were there during off peak hours meaning there were only 3 tables occupied at the time. The service was very personable and the food was great. We ordered the Shaky Beef and the Lemongrass bowl chicken shopping with some drinks. This restaurant is within driving distance for us, so we will most likely be back here in the near future.

We were greeted by our server that didn't wear any deodorant. He brought us some of the most undesirable Thai Tea I've ever had. I ordered the Vegetarian Lemongrass Bowl, which was supposed to have been made with rice noodles, not spaghetti noodles and tofu, not beef. Very disappointed. I've literally got nothing good to say about this place. It's unfortunate.

sighs. I had higher expectations. mango margarita which is suppose to be made with jalapeno infused vodka but you couldn't taste the jalapeno (which usually u can).The egg rolls are good and the dipping sauces were too.They didnt have mussels though. I originally ordered calamari but it was too fishy for my liking so I was referred to the shrimp. Again,the sauce was good but the shrimp was a little too "lightly"battered. I added the waitress about how they clean the shrimp bc it still had that black line when u butterfly it, she said it was due to the grill? weird .. bc the shrimp is supposed to be boiled & fried, no idea how it was grilled.

Somehow the restaurant had not received our online order (they hadn’t turned on the computer), and the food was still not very hot after we waited for it.

I ordered the “Sweetgrass Bowl” which looks really good in the Google picture, but it looks really cruddy in the ubiquitous foam takeout container. How this is “Vietnamese” I don’t know.

Random chopped vegetable with deep fried chicken chunks on a bed of lukewarm vermicelli noodles isn’t what I was expecting.

Maybe it’s better eaten in? Ordering takeout is a risk.

I was really impressed with Lemongrass. I got my order to go but the few minutes I did spend in their restaurant were very pleasant.

I was unable to find an online menu so I couldn’t call my order in ahead of time. Not a big deal, but an online menu might be something they consider in the future.

The bartender who took my to go order was super nice and really friendly. Once I placed my order I decided to have a beer. They have a really nice selection of draft and bottle beers.

Surprisingly, my order arrived much quicker than I anticipated so great job to the kitchen for getting my order out so quickly. Even the bartender was a little surprised at their speed.

I started with the chicken and shrimp egg rolls. They weren’t the traditional large egg rolls, instead they were 6 mini ones and they were so so good. They came with a sweet dipping sauce which was great.

I also had the chicken pho. They didn’t have a chicken broth which I thought was a little strange and I was offered beef or vegetable broth. I went veggie. I feel like I made the right choice. The Pho was very tasty and extremely filling. The portion could easily feed two people.

I would not hesitate to return to Lemongrass on my next visit to Wichita.
