The food overall was very solid. Not the best pho I’ve ever had, but still very good. The banh mi was well balanced with fresh veggies and marinated pork. Our server was very friendly and attentive, and the restaurant appeared clean and well maintained. Would definitely come back to try more items on the menu! Glad to have found a good spot for Vietnamese food in Indiana

This restaurant is really good! I ordered the pho (noodle soup) and vietnamise tacos were amazing, the meat was super tender and the pork belly bao was delicious, I recommend this place if you like Vietnamese food or if you have not tried it is a good place to do it, you will take a very good experience!

Wow, their food is amazing! We had pho and bahn mi. Fantastic.
For dessert, photo attached, we had coffee ice cream over pandan flavored waffle. Absolutely fantastic! I highly recommend. The two young men serving were very kind and attentive.

I got off an airplane from south Florida and looked up restaurants near where I was staying. this place seemed like an absolute hole in the wall in the middle of a shopping center (my Uber actually drove past it).

I walked at 11:15am and was kindly greeted by a nice young lady behind the counter who kindly explained the lunch special (at a great price). I got the pork banh mi and steak pho. The bread on the sandwich came out warm, crispy and blistered. The pork was tender, unctuous, and flavorful. The pho smelled of star anise and had perfect salt levels.

Long and short, I’m ecstatic about this lunch and I would hear every week if I lived in the area.whether you are new to Vietnamese food or seasoned vet, Chao is an excellent option!

Every time we come to Chao we are blown away by the flavor and freshness of each dish. We have tried almost everything on the menu and have never been disappointed! We can’t get away from ordering the Chao fries and spring rolls. Even the wings are perfect.

Carlos, the owner, is the most kind, friendly person and makes everyone feel right at home. He is a master with meat. He also ferments His own veggies and makes most of the sauces. Don’t forget to have homemade ice cream (the coconut is to die for), bubble waffles and other desserts! Yummy!!

Great food. Took us back to the time we ate the Banh mi and Bun Cha in Vietnam. Good selection across the board, appetizers, mains and desserts. Definitely recommend dining in for freshest food!

Our server was awful. Despite repeating our orders, she didn’t get it right at all. Order 1 bao bun and got 2. Ordered pho and she forgot it! My husband already finished his food before I even got mine. Avocado shake was amazing though.
