I was craving Pho and found this place on Google Maps. It’s self-order, self-pay, which I love because the less interaction I have with people the better for me lol also they ask for a name and it does say in the screen that they’ll call you but I guess since they weren’t very busy that day the server brought it to me and confirmed that it was my order, so that was nice. My order came out super fast too. I think I waited around 10 minutes. The restaurant is very pretty and I loved the layout. It was also super clean. The servers cleaned each table after the customers left. As for the Pho, I had the one with all the meats, also ordered extra noodles, which I regretted the second I saw the big bowl cause it already had a lot. The Pho itself was decent, the broth was okay, the meats were okay too, but I just couldn’t get over the sweet aftertaste after each slurp. I’d still go back if I’m every back in town.

Awesome environment and staff, however their Pho is not good. The chicken tasted like it was from a can, they don’t have any veggies to add on or gluten free sauces. Overall probably fine but a bit or a let down. The broth was excellent tho. Also you order and pay your self.

They came and checked on me and made it right and said they are working on improving. Very impressed

Self-ordering seems too gimmicky and disconnects the idea of family. Traditional pho is best served and enjoyed when the customers feels the instant connection with the kitchen staff. The tall ceiling and the cosmopolitan feel definitely removes the traditional Vietnamese feel and makes you feel as if you are in a subway tunnel. The background music were muffled and has a dark country vibe.

As for the broth, the depth is not there. I will not consider this as a traditional Vietnamese broth. Some of the spices are missing because of the gluten-free focus. Noodles were not happy with the broth and did not carry the taste with them. There was not enough cilantro to highlight the broth's taste. I was also missing the tripe, fatty flank, or tendon.

The burger pho did not deliver the pho taste. The order took a long time to get to our table.

The spring rolls were loose and not taut. This cause the ingredient fell appart after the first bite.

The clean-up is also something you have to do yourself.

Overall, this place is overpriced and underdelivered. There is so much potential for this outlet that I was looking for but was not met. I can't recommend this as a traditional Vietnamese pho but as a far substitute for one.

The Spingroll Sauce is really good. Pho is moderate, but it's still better for someone who don't like much strong taste. Thai tea is very good, not too sweet and worth the money. The service is incredible. They have the order that you can do by yourself for introvert or faster. Seft serving for water and other staff like paper tower, chopstick,..., really good idea.

Have a really good experience here

We went with a group of 4. 3 of us had the pho. If I’d never had pho before, I’d probably think it was good. However, I’ve enjoyed many great bowls of pho, and this was not one of them. We all agreed the depth of flavor in the broth was not there. I wished they had salt on the tables. The noodles seemed to be resistant to the broth flavors. The beef was very dry and chewy.

My friend said the coconut curry chicken bowl was very good. The dipping sauce for the tofu spring roll was excellent.

I found their request for us to bus our own tables did not go well with the difficulty of their dish-return setup. I did not enjoy splashing food onto myself.

We just happened to be walking by and decided to give this place a try. We are so glad we did! The food was full of flavor and the perfect amount of spice. Two entrees under $30 and a nice sit down ambience. The tots were perfectly crispy with their sauce and the pho was so tasty and flavorful. Will definitely be adding this place to our Great Spots to Eat in SLC! See you again soon, Tamarind.

I placed a to-go order here during lunchtime, and it was very busy, so there was a bit of a wait—about 25 minutes. I ordered a salad, which I felt was a little underwhelming for the price. That said, the staff was friendly and overall provided a good experience.
