I am soooo super hooked on Asian cuisine. I am even biased because I am a native of San Francisco, CA, and, well, we have some of the BEST Asian cuisine.
The 5 stars were given because this place truly met all expectations and more.
The pictures display the presentation and probably arouse your taste buds. I suggest you treat yourself and enjoy either the lunch or dinner menu. It is located inside the Eating Hall of the Durango Casino. As always, trust a big girl, I know where to eat healthy good food.

This is a terrific high-end feeling Japanese restaurant, without the inflated prices you find on the strip. The sushi chef (named Webster) was extremely knowledgeable and entertaining. A typical traditional role was $11 - $16. Awesome sake selection. I strongly recommend this restaurant if you are anywhere near Durango.

The waitress was super friendly
The food portion was huge. The curry is enough for two people. The hamachi kama is large, and the poke bowl was the perfect portion for one medium appetite.
The taste of everything was solid; nothing unique, but not bad by any means.

We came for lunch and it appears that the restaurant is short handed. The food did not get to us for over 30 minutes. Luckily we had a good conversation so time passed fast. We ordered sushi and sashimi and the food was mediocre at best. Overall the place had a nice atmosphere but the value and quality of food could be better.

Table was not cleaned well! Had to ask them to wipe off food...then found another dirty part. At that point, we gave up. Nothing special about the food. We ordered the chicken curry (a little too spicy for the norm), veggie tempura, and drunken noodle. Noodle and chicken were cooked well. All items were way overpriced for the portion, presentation, and taste (a little too salty on both main dishes). There were 2 lychees in the curry, which I find odd. The lychee martini was mediocre. A kid broke glass at another table and the same lady who wiped our table swept the floor. You guessed it, there were still shards of glass around when we walked by the surrounding tables.

Great food in general, the place is right in the entrance of the new Durango Casino, the food was great except one dish that I would Change for sure and that is the Shishito Peppers, they are putting chilly sauce on it and I don’t thinks that is the right thing to do, makes it over spicy and if other people that eat mild and not spicy can’t even touch it but everything else was great! The service was amazing by the way, very high end service standards. The fried rice is a must, vegetable Tempura is a bomb and some of the appetizers as well. I do recommend this place.

Don’t eat here. It’s over priced, the service is probably the worst I’ve had in Vegas (local for over 15 years), and they don’t tell you all the ingredients in their food ( hope you don’t have any allergies).

The Good:
-This is a really pretty restaurant. The design feels really nice and appropriate for the style of restaurant.
-The hostess was very kind and welcoming. Just know your first impression will likely not be your final one.

The Bad:
-The service is truly horrid. Our waiter was unable to give us any incite or recommendations about the menu when asked. He barely made eye contact with us, and after we ordered our food he was never seen for over 30 minutes, and we only saw him because he was brining another table their drinks. I had to practically throw myself out of my chair to get my wife and I more water.
-The food contained asparagus, which was not mentioned on the menu (see photo below). We would have sent it back had our waiter was missing the whole time. My wife luckily doesn’t have an allergy, but she order this item because it was one of the only things that didn’t have asparagus. If you have allergies don’t eat here, won’t be able to feel safe about your food.
-The place was never more than half full the whole time I was there, yet there was a line of 2-4 parties the entire time. Idk if they are holding people back because their services is so bad, but it’s not cool. We went on a Sunday night, you should expect people go out to eat on weekends.

The Ugly:
-We saw a waitress break a glass at an empty table. Totally normal, it happens. But what isn’t normal is sitting a couple there before you’ve finished cleaning it up. Oh, and this couple was in sandals. Yup, they were sitting at a table that still had glass on the ground. My wife got up and grab the glass off the floor, because we were sure that the servers weren’t gonna do it.

Unless you’re so drunk you can’t see straight, don’t eat here. The food is fine (not good, just fine) the price is not. For $20-$30 bucks a person you should be getting good service, not no eye contact and glass on the floor. Don’t be tricked by the pretty decorations, it’s not a sign of a good restaurant.

I recently had dinner at Yu Or Mi Sushi upon my tour of the new Durango. What a pleasant surprise. I'm giving the food a 4 star rating. I found the Durango sushi roll to be just "ok". No real presentation, on the small side for $20, and with a pedestrian taste profile. Texture was just fine as was the temperature. Now, the service on the other hand was excellent. My questions were answered by the wait staff accurately. I had an ice cold Sapporo that is on tap and it was great. I ordered the Veggie Drunken Noodles. They were hot, fresh, and tasted wonderful. It was a perfect portion of food. What an excellent dish that I recommend to visitors. Seating can be a challenge so just be patient because the food other than the sushi is really good. I will return for dinner to this restaurant and would recommend it to my friends and family. Nice job to the staff! Thank you!
