I have been going to this location for years, and their service and food has stayed consistent. I absolutely love the new location as it’s very clean and a beautiful area. Food tastes authentic and at a reasonable price. Breakfast, lunch, dinner, and their agua frescas are delicious. Definitely recommend everyone to try it out!

Recently moved just down the street from their old location and built a beautiful new property. Food is thankfully just the same and reliably delicious. Very happy to see this business thriving. Service is always friendly and I cant wait to stop in again. My favorites are the pork in green sauce, churros, and shrimp tostadas.

New location is amazing! The staff takes pride in delivering top quality food. Nice outdoor seating and a farmhouse feel. The tamales were top notch and the migas taco was perfectly prepared on fresh tortillas.

Stopped by today and was disappointed. I went very close to when they opened so I’m shocked at the food quality. I’ve gotten chicken tamales from here a few times and the quality has gone done. I don’t know if I received old ones or what. You can’t even see the sauce on the chicken and it’s dry. The spicy avocado sauce is good but that’s about it

I visited the new location this past weekend with my family since it had been a while since we last ate there. For those familiar with the old location, navigating in and out was a nightmare, so the change was welcome. The new building is nice, and the parking situation is much improved.

One thing I had forgotten was that you order as soon as you walk in and then seat yourself. Personally, I don’t like this setup. I prefer being waited on, and the ordering process felt rushed because others were in line behind us. It also felt more like self-service, as condiments and other items were placed in a corner for customers to retrieve themselves.

As for the food, it was okay. We had breakfast tacos and a plate of enchiladas. The drinks, however, were enjoyable—I especially liked the horchata.

The one thing that really bothered me was the charge for chips and salsa. Why do that? I understand there are costs involved, but I believe this is something that should be factored into the overall pricing instead. Charging for such a staple item feels unnecessary and detracts from the experience.

Recommendation: Please reconsider charging for chips and salsa! They are a fundamental part of the dining experience at any good Mexican restaurant.

Purchased tamales thinking they would be delicious, instead they were masa sticks with a sprinkle of meat, all of them were like that, little flavor and’s lots of chili powder!

Update: New location is PERFECT. Incredibly well designed, so much natural light and many healthy beautiful plants inside and out. So happy for them!

Been here twice, I thought I'd branch out to the tacos but the tamales were so good last time that I couldn't help but to order more tamales. Charro beans are flavorful and slightly spicy ? excited for their new location to open right down the street. Spent 25ish bucks on a huge Mexican coke, huge tres leches slice, 3 tamales, and rice/beans.

Been coming here for years. One of my favorite authentic Mexican restaurants in Austin. I gladly drive all the way from the north side in traffic to eat here. Pork in Green Sauce is Amazing! Love the yummy home made tamales too.
